Manufacturer Commentary on Installation:

Although Ambient Light Rejecting screens were made for the home theater market, some are finding their niche in the restaurant and hospitality industry. The Madang Tofu House and Korean BBQ in Chino Hills, California needed a solution for its projectors whose old matte white screens just didn’t make the cut with all the ambient light present. The management staff was delighted to have us come down and document the installation and we were happy to chalk up another successful installation that anyone can come inspect with their own eyes. The reflective qualities of the material enhances brightness while its diffusion layer mitigates the washout effect of ambient light while enhancing contrast and picture clarity.

 Customer Testimony (Shane):

“I really like Elite Screens and when I decided to have a projector with a big screen and actually I tried to find something good and I really like this product.”

“My restaurant is really bright (inside) because I use LED lights so I was looking for something that makes my videos and everything brighter and sharper than any other screen so I am using a 1.5 gain Elite screen and it is really working fine”.

Brief Product Description:

The ezFrame CineGrey 5D is an angular reflective front projection material designed to reject ambient light while maintaining superb picture quality.  The CineGrey 5D is the perfect solution for rooms that have little or no control over incidental light.  This means that it’s an ideal fit for family rooms as well as lecture halls, boardrooms, sports bars, training facilities, and other business environments. In addition, the CineGrey 5D increases projector brightness 1.5 times the amount. This is perfect for projectors with low lumens output.  It also maintains 88% polarization for use with active and passive 3D presentations.

Which of the product’s specific features or specs were instrumental in your decision to use this product versus another solution and why?

The Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) material provides the featured projector screen with the ability to rival and even exceed a flat panel’s ability to achieve image brightness, contrast and saturation.  Its contrast layers aid in diverting indirect lighting from the viewers to avoid the milky effect of image washout.  The micro-textured sub-layers amplify reflectivity into a narrower viewing cone for optimal image performance.  This design allows homes and facilities to obtain large displays well in excess of 100” at a minute fraction of the actual cost of an actual 100” television.
