A: Yes, you can buy a screen material sample by clicking here.

A: The Evanesce B and Evanesce Tension B Series’ differ from the regular series in that the B Series were mainly designed for home theater applications. With that in mind, we focused on the most popular aspect ratios and diagonal sizes used in a home theater setting. We also reduced the size of the housing and motor. By focusing on fewer models and by reducing the amount of materials used for the housing unit, we were able to cut down on production costs which we in turn passed along to the consumer.
The Evanesce and Evanesce Tension were designed more for commercial applications such as conference rooms and auditoriums. Nevertheless, the screens can also be installed in dedicated home theaters. The Evanesce and Evanesce Tension feature a wider array of aspect ratios and sizes, have a faster motor, and utilize a more robust housing unit. All series come with a complete remote kit and have hardware accessories that allow for either a below or above ceiling installation (excluding Evanesce Plus).

A: You can extend the length of your cable using the ZSP-12V-50B. This 50 feet RJ-45 cable includes an extender plug coupler to allow you to join connections to your existing accessory.

A: Elite strongly recommends using either a standard surge protector or a power conditioner on all electric projection screens.

A:  No, you will not void your warranty, but cutting the cord is not necessary. Please see our hardwired connection (direct control) instructions here.

A: Elite provides binary codes for the IR remote, see below.

  • Up: 1111 0000 0001
  • Stop: 1111 0000 0010
  • Down: 1111 0000 0100

A: The frequency of the RF remote is 433MHz

A: No, your screen’s Top Black  border has been set to deploy to its full extent. Attempting to increase will damage the motor and void your warranty with  Elite Screens.

A: Here is the full list of model numbers for the Evanesce Tab-Tension B Series: ETB100HW2-E8, ETB120HW2-E8

A: All of our Evanesce Series in-ceiling screens (Evanesce, Evanesce B, Evanesce Tab-Tension, Evanesce Tab-Tension B, and Evanesce Plus) include installation hardware kits for ABOVE and BELOW.  The kit includes four long vertical brackets to allow the screen to be suspended from any above structure.

A: The power cable length for all Evanesce Tab-Tension B Series models is approximately 70.8″ (1.8M) + with extra control box. Note: This measurement is accurate for USA only, other countries may be equipped with different lengths for each model.

A: Regarding the amperage of Elite’s 5-12V Triggers, their transistor pulls (3.3V)) to MCU GPIO.

This means that the RF remote input is 12V and the driving Amp is :2mA. Through the RJ45 port, the input is 12V and the driving amp is: 1mA.

A: There’s a couple of suggestions.

  1. If controlling your screen’s drop and rise with a light switch, we offer our (ZIW) integrated wall switch that will work just fine with your Evanesce Tab-tension B.
  2. To operate the projection screen using the 12-Volt trigger, We recommend connecting the trigger’s RJ45 connection to your projector since it was designed solely for that purpose. Running the 12-Volt trigger through an AC/DC converter will likely not work and may even prove harmful to your product or the projector screen’s main board, so we strongly advise against experimentation with mismatched accessories doing what they were not designed to do.
