GreenGuard® Certificate Affirms That the CineGrey 3D® & 5D® Meets UL 2818 Standards for Safe Air Quality Emissions
Elite Screens is proud to announce that its CineGrey® 3D & 5D series of ambient and ceiling light rejecting (ALR / CLR) projection screen materials have joined the ranks of many other ES materials that have received the prestigious UL 2818 GREENGUARD® / GREENGUARD® Gold Certifications. The GREENGUARD® Environmental Institute (GEI) was founded in 2001 with the mission of improving human health and quality of life by enhancing indoor air quality and reducing people’s exposure to chemicals and other pollutants.
- The UL GREENGUARD Certification Program requires that products undergo independent, scientific testing and ongoing monitoring of their chemical emissions. Only products that meet UL Environment’s stringent emissions standards qualify for certification. These standards are based on established criteria from key public health agencies.

GREENGUARD® / UL 2818 is an industry-independent organization that aims to protect human health and improve quality of life by enhancing indoor air quality and reducing people’s exposure to chemicals and other pollutants. As an ISO-IEC Guide 65:1996 accredited, third-party certifying body, the Greenguard Environmental Institute certifies products and materials for low chemical emissions and serves as a public resource for choosing healthier products and materials for indoor environments. In 2011, UL Environment, a business unit of UL (Underwriters Laboratories) acquired GreenGuard Environmental Institute.
About Elite’s CineGrey 3D® & 5D® ALR- CLR Materials
The CineGrey® 3D & 5D materials are reference quality front projection screen material formulated for environments with minimal control over room lighting. Both are designed to enhance picture brightness, while offering accurate color fidelity, and improved contrast levels. The CineGrey® 3D & 5D materials are best for family rooms, educational facilities, conference rooms or any applications in which incident light is a factor. Typical matte white surfaces wash out the images when ambient light cannot be controlled.
The difference between the two materials is as follows. CineGrey 3D® offers a wider viewing angle whereas the CineGrey 5D® provides superior image brightness.
