Projection screen viewing distance based on screen size
Using this easy to read chart you can see how close or far you should sit (in feet) from your projection screen based on the screen’s diagonal size.
- The vertical or x-axis represents distance in inches, whereas the horizontal or y-axis shows the most common projection screen sizes (measured diagonally) and their corresponding viewing distances; red being the minimum and blue representing the maximum distance.
- All distances, both minimum and maximum, are in accordance with SMPTE standards for HD.
