Selecting a Whiteboard Projector Screen

with No Comments

Always make sure that your projector matches the screen.  In this case, the customer wanted to select a projector screen that will accommodate his projected image while leaving room to write notes. Knowing the dimensions, our service team was able to find the best option.

Transcripts:

  • [19:50] Zach: I am wondering if the whiteboard screens you sell work only with short throw projectors
  • [19:51] Zach: I may need to throw an image up to 72 inch wide with maybe a little extra room for writing. Would that be the Starbright material? It’s in a dark room. I may use standard and short throws in the future.
  • [19:52]        Johnny: I’d be glad to answer that.  I don’t recommend Starbright for this if you have light control and you want extra writing room. Our regular matte-white whiteboard projector screens use our VersaWhite material that will work with either a standard or short throw projector. • [19:53]        Johnny: Also, our StarBright4 (ambient light rejecting) material  is made specifically for standard throw projectors so you cannot use a short throw projector with it.
  • [19:55] Zach: Let’s stick to the white material.  We have a Sony VPLPHZ10 projector and will be throwing from various distances. Thoughts?
  • [19:57]        Johnny: Yes, this is easy enough. I recommend the WB4x10HW. It will accommodate up to a 77” 16:10 –  91” diagonal image that  will match your projector.  It also leaves plenty of room for you to write since it is 10 feet wide.
  • [19:57]        Johnny: We also have a projector screen calculator that tells you what your projector’s throw distance is. Use this link: http://elitescreens.com/front/front/cms/slug/screen-calculator  and plug in your projector’s make and model.
  • [20:00] Zach: Thanks, I’m very glad that you clarified that this is not a 10’ wide screen that will accommodate a 4:3, 16:9, and 16:10 aspect ratio. This can save a customer from making a costly mistake. Is the tray for the dry erase markers an optional feature?
  • [20:00]        Johnny: No, this will come with the screen.  You get the full accessories kit.
  • [20:04] Zach: Okay, thanks I really appreciate the explanation.
  • [20:05]        Johnny: My pleasure sir.  Thank you for choosing Elite Screens.
