Product Discussion Chat: Do I have the Right Projector for My Curve Screen

with No Comments

There are different projectors that fulfill specialty roles. Standard short throws are typically the most versatile with screen materials while short throw (ST) and ultra short throw (UST) so this is a great topic for discussion.  A UST projector is not at all suitable for a curved projection screen but here are some great QA and links to add information to your AV knowledge toolbox.

[17:11] Jaime: Hello, how may I help you?

[17:12] Customer: I just placed an order for a 103″ Lunette series

[17:12] Customer: and now I am just wondering if the curved thing will not affect the image with the projector I purchased

[17:15] Jaime: if you have a standar throw projector, it will not be affected

[17:15] Customer: I have the Epson 6040ub

[17:15] Jaime: it is just a matter of properly calibrating and placing the projector in front of the screen

[17:15] Customer: will that one work fine?

[17:15] Jaime: is it a standard throw projector?

[17:16] Customer: Yes you mean like if it’s a short throw?

[17:16] Jaime: correct

[17:16] Customer: it is regular

[17:16] Jaime: ok, then you’re good

[17:16] Customer: it will go in my ceiling

[17:16] Jaime: you may need to contact Epson for help with the set up

[17:16] Customer: but seeing the projector setting manual

[17:16] Customer: how it can be adjusted to the curvature of the sreen?

[17:17] Jaime: that’s what Epson would have to help you with

[17:17] Customer: it only has the options to move the square top and bottom

[17:17] Customer: ok

[17:17] Jaime: it will work, though

[17:17] Customer: if it doesn’t work I can return it right?

[17:17] Customer: and get a flat panel screen?

[17:17] Jaime: yes you can, just make sure you check the return window with the dealer

[17:17] Jaime: you have limited time

[17:17] Customer: I bought it at Amazon

[17:18] Jaime: you have 30 days

[17:18] Customer: are the return policies the same?

[17:18] Jaime: plus you pay to ship it back

[17:18] Customer: ok
